  • 700g minced beef
  • 1 large tin peeled tomatoes
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch red pepper
  • 1tbsp coriander, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • Salt & Pepper


Mix the meat together with the eggs, the cumin and the cinnamon. Add salt and pepper and mix.

Form meatballs 4cm in diameter and roll them in the flour.

Put 2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan and brown he meatballs.

Put the onions, the tomatoes, the red pepper, the coriander and the meatballs into the tajine. Add salt and pepper.

Sprinkle with 1 tbsp of oil and mix.

Turn on the appliance, cover and cook for 2 hours.
