Fruit Kebabs in Lemon and Ginger sauce

  • 1 banana
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and kut into chunks
  • 1 small pineapple, cored and cut into chunks
  • 16 large strawberries, hulled
  • 1 apple
  • Short kebab skewers
  • 4 tablespoons lemon curd
  • 1 piece stem ginger in syrup, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons ginger syrup, from jar
  • Virtually fat free Creme Fraiche


Thread the fruit onto the kebab skewers alternating different fruits.

Mix the remaining ingredients in a shallow dish or in the rice bowl of the electrical steamer.

Put the kebabs in the dish and leave to marinade for 1 hour, turning occassionally. Drain the kebabs

Place the kebabs in the lower and middle baskets. Cover the dish of lemon and ginger

Sauce with cling film and place in the upper basket. Cover with the lid and steam for 10-15 minutes

Lift the kebabs onto warm plates and spoon over the sauce.

Serve straight away with a dollop of creme fraiche on the side.
