Crust: Beat butter, sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl with mixer until well blended.
Slowly stir in flour until mixture form a soft dough. Press dough into bottom and about ½ up the side of the tart tin.
Filling: Beat cream cheese and sugar with mixer. Add egg and vanilla until smooth. Pour mixture on top of prepared dough, distribute evenly.
Topping: Combine cinnamon and sugar in bowl. Coat apple slices in mixture. Layer evenly over cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle almonds on top.
Bake at 220°C for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 200°C and bake an additionnal 30 minutes. Cool and then remove of tin to serve.
