Quiche Lorraine
       easy inexpensive

Preparation time: 1 h 20 min
Cooking time: 35 min

Ingredients

Pastry :
- 200g (8 oz) plain flour
- 100g (4 oz) butter
- Pinch of salt - 200ml (8 fl oz) water

Filling :
- 150g (6 oz) bacon pieces
- 200 ml (8 fl oz) fresh cream
- 4 eggs - 100g (4 oz) grated cheese
- Salt and pepper

 

Prepare pastry and leave to rest for an hour.

Roll it out. Place in a flan dish and prick the bottom with fork.

Put the chopped bacon pieces on to the pastry.

In a mixing bowl mix eggs, grated cheese, fresh cream, salt and pepper.

Pour mixture into the pastry.

Cook for 35 minutes at 240°C
